How BoligVagt ensures only real, verified listings are shown

Core Promise

If a listing is visible in BoligVagt, you can open it and contact the landlord. No dead links. No placeholders. No fabricated data.

Verification Rules

Must Verify

  • 1.URL extracted from real HTML on source website
  • 2.URL is reachable (HTTP 200-299)
  • 3.Not a 404 or broken link
  • 4.Listing data is complete and real
  • 5.Not expired or archived

Listing Status Values

"active" ✓ SHOWN

Verified and active. Users can click and contact landlord.

"unverifiable" ✗ HIDDEN

Default status. URL not yet verified.

"unavailable" ✗ HIDDEN

URL not reachable. Site might be down.

"removed" ✗ HIDDEN

URL returned 404. Listing deleted from source.

"expired" ✗ HIDDEN

Listing marked as old or archived.

"invalid" ✗ HIDDEN

Data incomplete or malformed.

What Gets Hidden

  • ❌ Unverified URLs (not from real HTML)
  • ❌ Dead links (404, 403, broken)
  • ❌ Placeholder or dummy data
  • ❌ URLs that failed verification tests
  • ❌ Expired or archived listings
  • ❌ Invalid or incomplete data

Why Listings May Disappear

If a listing was shown before but isn't now:

  • → It wasn't properly verified (URL from real HTML)
  • → Verification test found it's a dead link
  • → It was marked as placeholder/dummy data
  • → Data was incomplete or invalid
  • → The fix: not to weaken rules, but to verify listings properly
